Structured Data
Structured Data is a code which you place on your webpage and with which Google can see (understand) what’s on this page.
For an e-commerce website you would want Google to be able to read your product data because you want the relevance of your page to be as high as possible. By adding structured data you can actually mark information with a pre-defined tag. These tags can be for example ‘price’, ‘brand’, ‘color’, ‘review’ or ‘name’. With these tags you can show this information to the users in Google.
